Dry Vans

These freight containers are perhaps the most commonly seen and are essentially a flatbed with a box around it. The weight limit for dry vans typically ranges from 42,000 to 45,000 pounds, and they are a popular choice for retailers shipping foods, clothing, or electronics, as they offer protection from the environment.
Refrigerated Trailers
Refrigerated trailers are ideal for freight that requires a temperature-controlled environment. They are typically dry vans outfitted with cooling systems. These cooling systems operate on a secondary fuel supply and can even be partitioned for zoned temperature control. A refrigerated trailer would likely be an ideal choice if you are shipping perishable food items, medical supplies (pharmaceuticals), or chemicals.
Lowboy Trailers
Lowboy trailers are similar to flatbed trailers but offer a much lower deck height, making them ideal for very heavy oversized loads. By lowering the overall height of a load, lowboy trailers can avoid expensive permit requirements from oversized load restrictions. They also fit under most bridges.
