From there, Comet assigns a dedicated truck. The driver arrives at the pickup site, takes possession of the freight, documents the count and condition, and routes it either back to the original supplier, to a return center, or to a Comet cross-dock for consolidation.

The truck is not co-loading other customers' returns on the same run unless that has been planned. Status updates come back through dispatch by phone or email. Comet does not put customers on a public GPS feed of the driver.
